Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a qualified Material Handler to load and unload materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support efficient distribution operations. The role focuses on safe handling, timely material transfers, and collaboration with Inventory Control and Receiving teams.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of forklift experience, and the ability to pull orders in a warehouse.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years forklift experience required.
• Preference for 2 years of experience pulling orders in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials safely and accurately to maintain material flow.
• Assist with cycle counting and inventory adjustments as requested.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, conveyors) to move material within the facility.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and communicate issues to Inventory Control/Receiving Supervisors.
• Work with Distribution team to complete material transfers accurately and timely.
• Maintain warehouse documentation and related records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the distribution department.
