Job summary

RK Logistics Group in California is seeking a Material Handler to move materials, operate the WMS and RF tools, and support inbound, outbound, and internal material flows with accuracy. Responsibilities include unloading inbound products, loading outbound shipments, performing cycle counts, receiving and verifying items, packing for shipping, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Lean principles are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0-2 years’ Warehouse and Logistics experience
• 1-2 years’ forklift experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and apply LEAN principles, including 5S and 7S methodologies; training provided
• Great communication skills
• Understanding of logistics, shipping, receiving, and standard work instruction protocols
• Strong math and writing skills
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Prior experience with Inventory control preferred.
• Excellent time management

Responsibilities

• Use hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks and other motorized equipment to move material or freight in the warehouse-storage facility
• Unload inbound products
• Load outbound products
• Weigh products and take measurements
• Receive, unpack, check, and verify product to ensure accuracy
• Process receiving exceptions as needed
• Use handheld RF tools to receive, pick, stock check, and ship products into WMS
• Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and support physical inventory
• Pack, re-pack and wrap products for shipping and storage
• Label parts during receipt, put away, picking or shipping process
• Pick parts for order fulfillment and shipments
