Job description

A Material Handler is primarily responsible for unloading and stocking tires and auto parts. This position requires pulling products from shelves and loading/unloading trucks efficiently to meet customer service expectations. Material Handler 2 is an intermediate role where associates can resolve most questions and problems, referring complex issues to supervisors or managers. The role may include backup driver duties.

This position is for U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc.

A scheduled shift runs from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities

1. Receiving:
   • Check in product completely and accurately
   • Stock products and process returns properly
2. Returns:
   • Inspect and count return merchandise to ensure it is in resalable condition, maintaining a 'Quality Minded' reputation
3. Loading:
   • Load trucks efficiently, considering space and product safety
4. Demonstrate safe work behaviors in all tasks
5. Operate power equipment, including forklifts and high reach lifts
6. May perform counter, dispatch, or backup driver duties

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of work experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and good driving record, if applicable
• Good memory and ability to work accurately with lengthy part numbers
• Basic reading and math skills
• Above-average scanning accuracy
• Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
• Neatness and organization
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work at heights of 20 feet regularly
• Ability to push or roll tires weighing up to 400 pounds
• Willingness to be trained to operate powered industrial trucks
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Willing to work overtime as needed
