Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is hiring full-time Material Handlers to join our warehouse team. You will perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and forklift operations in a clean, safety-focused environment.

This role offers weekly pay, paid training, benefits from day 30, 401(k) with company match, PTO, stock discount and employee perks. Candidates should have a high school diploma and forklift license, and be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.
• Flexible schedule with varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core hours.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour

• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 2:00pm - 10:30pm

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks

• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

• Performs other duties as assigned.
