Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Warehouse Associates in Tarboro, NC. Positions offer weekly pay, safety-focused operations, and state-of-the-art equipment. Expect competitive benefits and on-the-job training as you contribute to a high-performing distribution team.

Both 1st and 2nd shifts are available with $1 additional per hour on 2nd shift and a pathway for career development within Ryder's logistics network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
• Punctual with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy of picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Support automated packing system during core shift hour.
• Perform duties per contract performance guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
