Job summary

Berger Moving & Storage is seeking a Warehouse Manager in San Antonio, TX to oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will coordinate with Local Dispatch and maintain clear communication with inbound/outbound drivers to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires at least 2 years in shipping/receiving in a distribution center, strong leadership, and experience with warehouse safety programs and cost controls. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years shipping/receiving experience in a distribution center environment (2 years HHG preferred).
• Ability to direct staff and manage labor productivity.
• Material handling equipment knowledge and the ability to operate a forklift
• Understanding of computerized asset management systems, RF scanners, carrier shipping systems (e.g. Windfall system).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of job costing and expense control.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to our team as well as corrective action when warranted;
• Champion for safety in and out of our warehouse;
• Controls workflow;
• Conducts Shift Meetings;
• Schedules employees and is responsible for tracking hours;
• Assists with claims reduction;
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and ways to improve productivity;
• Other duties as assigned by management.
