Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all logistics personnel and oversee material handling, receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations to meet production schedules and delivery dates. You will implement safety, quality, and efficiency programs while supervising staff and coordinating with maintenance for equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree and/or related quality experience; or equivalent combination of education and related quality experience is required. A minimum of five years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred.
Warehouse Managers are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.

Responsibilities

Manage all logistic personnel and warehouse operations to meet production schedules and deliveries.
Enforce safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
Select, train and develop logistic staff to achieve department goals.
Supervise quality of work of logistic staff.
Coordinate with maintenance on preventive maintenance for logistics equipment.
Conduct regular inventories and coordinate with production scheduler; investigate variances.
Develop methods to optimize shipping efficiency, reduce costs, maximize space.
Coordinate trailers and carriers; establish FIFO.
May lead special projects; limited travel may be required.
