Job summary

BioTouch is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead inventory management and production planning at its Columbus, GA facility. The role reports to the VP of Operations in a large medical kitting division.

You will drive continuous improvement across materials management, set annual department goals, and own all inventory processes to improve accuracy and velocity. Responsibilities include coordinating with Procurement, ensuring timely delivery to Path-Tec customers, and monitoring demand and cost

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in production/materials management or related field.
• 5+ years experience in production planning, procurement and material management.
• APICS certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with electronic inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory and production planning and drive continuous improvement.
• Set yearly goals and objectives for the department.
• Own inventory processes, cycle counts, and inventory velocity.
• Collaborate with Procurement to maintain reliable supply with quality and cost targets.
• Ensure on-time delivery to customers and optimize supply chain costs.
• Identify barriers and develop plans to improve production control.

Our Role

Our Warehouse Manager is a key leadership role within our Columbus, GA facility. Responsible for managing inventory and production planning, they will lead continuous improvement for materials management and inventory control. Establish yearly goals and objectives for the department. The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the VP of Operations. This facility location is the largest within our medical kitting division.

Responsibilities

Your Impact:

• Leverages tools to drive continued operational improvements and ensures engagement of the entire supply chain team through clear communication and leadership skills
• Foster and lead the continuous improvement roadmap for the supply chain team
• Accountable for all planning and inventory activities and metrics, as well as on-time delivery to Path-Tec customers
• Holds full ownership of the inventory processes to include cycling out slow-moving product, ensuring accuracy of cycle counting, and increasing inventory velocity
• Works closely with the Procurement department to develop, manage, and maintain an abundant supply base that delivers on time with favorable quality and costs
• Identifies barriers, establishes priorities, evaluates practices, and develops plans to ensure successful production control operations
• Proposes strategies to reduce cost and improve procedures of supply chain logistics
• Monitor’s demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
• Supports finance and corporate gross margin goals through active participation in financial review meetings, providing expertise in cost reduction measures relating to production and purchasing
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Production/Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field is required
• 5+ years of combined experience in production planning, procurement, and material management
• May consider candidates with 8 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• APICS certification is preferred, but not required

• Experience in working with electronic inventory systems
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and solutions
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs at a time
