Overview

The Warehouse Manager II is responsible for establishing and executing AIT's strategies related to domestic and international freight warehouse operations, managing a 60,000 sq ft warehouse and 18 team members. The role involves overseeing warehouse operations, staff management, process improvement, safety, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations staff in daily activities for domestic and international freight, value-added services, and cartage.
• Review staffing needs and conduct meetings to meet company goals.
• Ensure cost-effective freight flow supporting inbound and outbound logistics.
• Negotiate with suppliers and providers to optimize resources.
• Resolve customer issues related to domestic and cartage freight.
• Benchmark operations against industry standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and control warehousing expenses through metrics and internal collaboration.
• Deliver high service levels to internal and external customers, implementing process improvements.
• Maximize operational efficiencies and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
• 3+ years in domestic/international freight warehousing.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
