Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Dallas, TX facility. You will oversee safe, efficient inventory handling, drive KPI attainment, and lead a supervisory team to implement warehouse strategy across operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating warehousing solutions, cost control, and developing staff while ensuring regulatory compliance (TSA/CTPAT/DOT/Hazmat). This is an on-site leadership role with strong focus on performance and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Freight Forwarding Warehousing operations experience is required.
  • 2+ years supervisory or management experience is required.
  • Experience with process improvement activities and initiatives required.
  • Experience with customer-facing responsibilities strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of TSA, C-TPAT, DOT and Hazmat regulations strongly preferred.
  • Unionized work experience a plus.
  • P&L/Budget/financial experience a plus.
  • SAP software experience a plus.
  • Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security for customer inventory.
  • Participates in development and ensures implementation of warehouse operations strategy to provide smooth operations.
  • Provides customized solutions for customers in warehousing, inventory control & analysis, transportation, and technical support.
  • Responsible for the KPIs of the product and ensures budget targets are met.
  • Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff.
  • Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with policies.
  • Collaborates with senior management to deliver strategic business results and builds collaborative relationships across groups.
  • Drives Performance Improvement through active management and use of CIP tools.
  • Metric driven and drives team performance based on data.
  • Responsible to shape and adjust workflows based on business need.
  • P/L responsibility for the business unit, works to control costs and implement cost improvement measures.
  • Drives Productivity improvement measures with teams.
  • Responsible for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures to address and minimize recurring challenges.
  • Responsible to develop, maintain, and implement local operating procedures and work instructions.
