Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I to oversee the day-to-day and strategic operations of our distribution warehouses. You will lead a team of Operations Managers, drive efficiency, safety, and cost optimization, and ensure peak performance across the facility.

Role includes P&L responsibility, customer relationship management, and delivering quarterly business reviews. National salary range is $120,000 - $155,000, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, overseeing safety and efficiency in the facility.
• Utilize WMS, automation and other technology to track inventory and monitor performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L).
• Prepare and present MB/R to customer with team collaboration.

• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.


• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.


• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.


• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.


• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education and Experience

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required


• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required
