Job summary

American Furniture Rental, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager in PENNSAUKEN, NJ to lead daily warehouse activities and drive continuous improvement. You’ll work hands-on with the team, set performance standards, and ensure safe, efficient shipping, receiving, and delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and at least 1 year of management in furniture distribution; forklift certification is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

• Oversee and participate in daily warehouse operations: prepping, picking, shipping, and delivery.
• Lead by example and work side-by-side with your team.
• Train, coach, and rebuild warehouse and delivery teams for accountability and culture.
• Monitor quality standards and inspect inbound/outbound orders.
• Route delivery trucks with Branch Managers for smooth, efficient service.
• Lead weekly Operations/Sales calls to align cross-functional teams.
• Handle delivery issues creatively and proactively.
• Manage triage, inspect returned product, and approve restocking.

The Position

As a Warehouse Operations Manager, we need someone who’s ready to lead from the floor-not from behind a desk. This is not an administrative-only position. You’ll be immersed in all aspects of our operation, learning the business from the ground up while making a direct and lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

• Roll up your sleeves and work side-by-side with your team when needed - lead by example.
• Train, coach, and rebuild warehouse and delivery teams with a focus on accountability, performance, and team culture.
• Monitor quality standards and inspect inbound/outbound orders.
• Route delivery trucks in coordination with Branch Managers to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Lead weekly Operations/Sales calls to align cross-functional teams.
• Handle delivery issues as they arise - creatively and proactively.
• Manage triage, inspect returned product, and approve inventory for restocking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a furniture warehouse (residential) strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership in team rebuilding and operational improvement.
• Forklift certified or willing to obtain AFR certification.
• Familiar with budgeting, scheduling, and managing operational KPI.
