Job summary

W3Global in Stafford, TX is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the warehouse operations, develop processing steps, oversee daily activities for efficiency, control inventory and logistics, and train the warehouse team to resolve issues while maintaining a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to align with company strategies, and a full understanding of commercial warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Supply Chain Management or a minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related fields preferred.
• Firm understanding of inventory management processes; must have experience performing transactions and using ERP systems to retrieve and analyze data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent people skills in mentoring, coaching/counseling, motivation, performance management, and employee relations.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
• Able to work cooperatively and effectively with different internal departments, vendors, and clients.
• Previous experience dealing with logistics companies and freight forwarders is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Mandarin

Responsibilities

• Create a yearly warehouse operation plan in collaboration with management; monitor and review on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Improve warehouse productivity by defining and implementing robust written processes for each warehouse function, and then coaching and mentoring employees to achieve performance targets.
• Oversee day-to-day operations in various departments to monitor the daily processing of goods.
• Manage operations and workflow in order-based processing; resolve performance issues among warehouse staff.
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitioning replacements and consumable supplies.
• Meet regularly with warehouse supervisors and team leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
• Control inventory levels by implementing a cycle count process and lead the yearly physical count of the entire inventory, reconciling with the ERP system.
• Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities.
• Ensure company policies are followed to support management requests, including customer support and audit requests.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
