Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Shop Supervisor to organize and manage daily shop operations, inventory, and personnel. You will coordinate freight receipt, forklift use, and stock levels while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of managerial experience and a high school diploma or GED, with vocational training preferred. The role includes benefits and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in a management role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational training is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control shop activities to meet profit and expense goals.
• Receive freight, operate a forklift, stock warehouse, and perform inventory counts.
• Check in orders, stock items, and maintain shipping supplies; perform all shipping.
• Maintain shop organization, tools, and equipment; train and supervise subordinates.
• Document inspections and repairs; ensure safety and customer communication.

The express purpose of this position will be to supervise and take part in the shop in such manner to meet the profit and expense goals of Company.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:General warehouse operations.Receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehousePerform all inventory counts and maintain inventory stock levels.Check in orders and stock all inventory items.Maintain adequate shipping supplies.Perform all shipping.Keep shop organized and clean.Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools.Check specialty tools in and out.Maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop.Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually.Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.Train and manage subordinates in job level requirements.Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job.Perform other duties assigned by management.Education/Qualification:High School Diploma or GED preferred.
