Sherman's: Proudly Not Normal Since '76 (andCounting!)

Forget everything you think you know about retail. Back in '76, while the world was doing its thing, Sharon Sherman was busy building something different – a side hustle selling clocks and gifts with a whole lot of heart. Fast-forward nearly half-century, and Sherman's has blossomed into four locations packed with home appliances, furniture, and mattresses.

Sure, we've grown beyond microwaves, but our family values? Rock solid. Show Concern. Have Fun. Be Helpful. Demonstrate Integrity. Show Ambition. Develop Relationships. These aren't just words on a wall; they're the fuel that keeps us going.

Why are we here?

Because we're genuinely passionate about our community. We're the neighbors who help you turn houses into homes. And it all started because Sharon dared to be different.

We're Seeking a Warehouse Manager

You'll lead our warehouse operation.

But more importantly—you'll lead the team that keeps our entire company moving.

Every delivery, every installation, every retail showroom, and every customer experience starts in the warehouse. When your operation runs well, every other department wins.

You'll build an organized, accountable, and safety-focused team that takes pride in getting the details right the first time.

What Matters Most to Us?

We're looking for someone who creates consistency.

You don't assume people know what's expected—you make sure they do.

Your team starts every shift with a plan. Your Warehouse Leads know what success looks like. Training is documented, progress is tracked, and follow‑up is part of your routine—not an afterthought.

You believe accountability isn't about catching people doing something wrong. It's about giving people the coaching, direction, and support they need to do it right.

Because when the warehouse runs well, every department—from Sales to Delivery—feels the difference.

So, What Does "Not Normal" Look Like Day‑to‑Day?
You Build an Operation People Can Count On
  • You lead warehouse operations from receiving product through staging for deliveries.
  • You ensure products are received, tagged, stored, and prepared accurately.
  • You build inventory systems that improve organization and efficiency.
  • You maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized warehouse every day.
  • You make sure tomorrow's deliveries are set up for success before your team goes home.
You Lead From the Floor
  • You're not leading from behind a desk.
  • You're coaching in the moment.
  • You set clear expectations every day.
  • You hold people accountable while helping them succeed.
  • You give feedback consistently—not just during reviews.
  • You jump in when your team needs you.
  • You lead by example because people do what people see.
You Bring Teams Together
  • You understand that the warehouse doesn't operate in a silo.
  • You work closely with Delivery, Install, Customer Care, Maintenance, and Retail teams.
  • You understand your success is measured by helping other teams succeed.
You Own the Details
  • Great warehouse operations aren't built on luck.
  • They're built on discipline.
  • You notice what others overlook.
  • You protect company assets.
  • You continually look for better ways to improve efficiency.
  • You leave things better than you found them.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of warehouse supervisory experience required; 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast‑paced warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, organization, and operational excellence.
Skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to lead by example.
If This Sounds Like You...
  • You enjoy bringing structure to fast‑moving environments.
  • You naturally organize people, priorities, and processes.
  • You believe accountability and support go hand in hand.
  • You like coaching people and helping them grow.
  • You take pride in getting the details right.
  • You understand that behind every great customer experience is an operation that simply works.

If you're energized by developing people and looking for a role where your standards drive excellence and your team helps power every customer experience, we'd love to meet you. Join us—and help build what's next!
