Job summary

Conklin Metal Industries is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the Memphis warehouse team of four.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on safety, efficiency, and accuracy, with day-to-day oversight of receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, and logistics.

You will partner with branch leadership to improve processes and ensure dependable operations, while maintaining a Monday–Friday schedule and home every night.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of four warehouse employees.
• Oversee receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, storage, and logistics.
• Plan daily priorities and ensure the team has what they need to be successful.
• Coordinate schedules and workload to keep material moving efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive warehouse.
• Look for opportunities to improve warehouse flow, organization, productivity, and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain efficient processes for product handling, inventory, shipping, and storage.
• Address safety concerns and lead by example to promote safe work practices.

What You'll Own

Lead Your Team

• Lead, coach, and support a team of four warehouse employees
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, accuracy, productivity, and performance
• Train and develop employees while recognizing strengths and opportunities for growth
• Create an environment where teamwork, communication, and accountability matter

Run the Operation

• Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, including receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, storage, and logistics
• Plan daily priorities and make sure the team has what they need to be successful
• Coordinate schedules and workload to keep material moving efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive warehouse

Improve How We Work

• Look for opportunities to improve warehouse flow, organization, productivity, and accuracy
• Develop and maintain efficient processes for product handling, inventory, shipping, and storage
• Identify problems and take ownership of finding solutions
• Partner with branch leadership to make improvements that support employees and customers

Keep Safety at the Center

• Maintain a safe working environment for your team
• Reinforce company safety standards and proper material-handling procedures
• Address safety concerns quickly and consistently
• Lead by example and create a culture where everyone takes responsibility for working safely

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experience
• Experience in industrial distribution preferred; HVAC or building materials experience is a plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to coach employees, set expectations, and hold people accountable
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory systems
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team when needed
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
• Ability to work a typical 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday schedule, with flexibility between 6:00 AM-6:00 PM when operational needs require it
