Job summary

Gutor in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead shipping, receiving, and stocking of parts, materials, and equipment. You will drive KPI improvements, organize stock, and ensure cycle counts meet accuracy targets.

The role requires SAP expertise (EWM/WM/MM), Kanban knowledge, and a proactive leader who can inspire a team and optimize internal material flow across production areas. Travel up to 20% nationally is required.

Qualifications

  • Education/diploma in logistics/warehousing.
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role, with leadership responsibility.
  • Strong inventory management and Kanban knowledge.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping, receiving, and stocking of parts, materials, and equipment with accurate reporting in SAP.
  • Drive Kanban replenishment and process improvements with Procurement.
  • Lead warehouse team, develop assistants, and improve processes (5S, safety).
  • Organize and perform stock counts with KPI targets (<0.7% monthly).
  • Ensure proper storage and FIFO compliance; organize audits and cycle counts.

The company has a team of experienced engineers and technicians who are available to help with any problems that may arise.Securing goods receipt, including defined inspections and the picking/packing of materials for assembly and the spare parts business.Leading the Warehouse Team, including developing and coaching Warehouse Assistants while continuously improving processes.Main responsibilities:Manage the shipping, receiving, and stocking of parts, material, and equipment ensuring accurate and timely reporting in SAPEnsure replenishment of the internal Kanban system while driving improvements (e.g., implementing new parts, labeling, adjusting batch sizes in cooperation with Procurement).Establish standards to ensure stock integrity within the facility, and monitor complianceEnsure the warehouse is well-structured and organized with clear responsibilities, enabling optimal internal material flow to the appropriate production area as scheduled.Identify opportunities, initiate and lead warehouse process improvement initiativesOrganize and perform stock-taking according to schedule while achieving defined accuracy targets (KPI <0.7% monthly cycle counting).Ensure cycle counts selections are counted accurately and timely, and results are reported to Inventory ControlEnsure proper storage of materials while applying the FIFO principleProcessing of ECO’sLead and facilitate daily SIM1 and weekly SIM4 meetings in the warehouse, and actively participate in daily SIM2 meetings.Prepare and Lead audits for all Warehouse related topicsEnsure adherence to 5S principles within the warehouse area.Maintain and improve warehouse infrastructure.Ensure warehouse equipment receives regular maintenance and operating effectively and safelySecondary responsibilities:Team supervision for monthly cleaning up of the scrap and quality inventoriesUpdate master data in ERP-SystemFollow up on the booking of all materials not posted after project completion (TECO process)Manage material returns and repairsHighly proficient in SAP (EWM/WM and MM modules)Required qualifications:Education/diploma in logistics/warehousingExperience in a similar job: 3-5 yearsPrior leadership experienceInventory management and Kanban knowledgeSAP R/3 and Microsoft Office proficiencyPreferred qualifications:Forklift driving licensePersonal attributes:Pro-active, resilient, flexible, accurate, reliable, communicative, autonomous, team player, service-based, responsible, assertive.Position type:This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position.
