Job summary

J.F. Electric, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Edwardsville, IL to lead daily warehouse operations, manage inventory and oversee tool and fleet coordination. You will actively participate in hands-on duties while driving safety and efficiency across projects.

The role requires leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with PMs, craftsmen, and office staff. This is a full-time on-site position in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse operations and logistics with a focus on safety.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in inventory control.
• Ability to collaborate with PMs, craftsmen, office staff and third parties.
• Proficiency with WMS and Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Teams.
• Manual handling of materials over 60 lbs and working in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead warehouse staff, provide guidance and training on equipment while overseeing tool management
• Schedule tasks, assign duties, ensure activities are performed effectively while responding to fluctuating workloads
• Create pick tickets and labels, pull, organize, stage and document orders to ensure accurate fulfillment to job site
• Receive, examine and inspect deliveries, reporting any damage or shortages to Project Managers promptly
• Coordinate warehouse personnel, vehicles, equipment, tooling and material deliveries to meet project schedules
• Maintain accurate inventory records, review aging inventory monthly and coordinate disposition with PMs
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and SOPs
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and required inspections for warehouse equipment, vehicles, and trailers
• Review and process invoices, approve expenses within authority and allocate costs to the appropriate projects
• Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and yard through daily housekeeping assignments and inspections
• Ensure telephone calls, voicemails, text messages and emails are answered promptly with resolution
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Department Manager
• Review, enter and track employee time, schedule and approve overtime
• Assess employee performance, provide coaching and corrective action while supporting development

Required Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in warehouse management or construction logistics with leadership responsibility
• Ability to communicate professionally and work well with PMs, craftsmen, office staff and third parties
• Strong attention to detail, organization, dependability, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient with warehouse management systems and Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
• Ability to manually load and unload materials in excess of 60 lbs onto trucks, trailers and other equipment
• Ability to work in inside and outside conditions, varied temperature changes, vibrations, dust and noise
• Working knowledge of construction tools, warehouse equipment, vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment
