Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations for a growing national building-products distributor. The role is permanent and full-time, overseeing material handling, forklift operations, shipping/receiving, and delivery scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with experience in fast-paced environments and a solid understanding of warehouse safety and WMS software.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse management role.
  • Proven experience in material handling, forklift operation, shipping & receiving, delivery scheduling, cycle counting, order picking, loading & unloading.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Certification in forklift operation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Manage delivery scheduling to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Supervise order picking processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee loading and unloading processes, ensuring safety standards are upheld and goods are handled properly.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Implement and uphold warehouse policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to optimize operations and meet business objectives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
