Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX. The role involves maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety standards in a clean, well-run facility.

We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid training, PTO from month 1, and employee discounts. You will work with forklift and cherry picker equipment and may be required to operate equipment and obtain certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong background in maintenance repair and preventive maintenance programs.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Basic computer and parts inventory system skills.
• Aptitude to investigate and solve various mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine lubrications, repairs and troubleshooting tasks of mechanical warehouse equipment
• Assist and monitor work by outside contractors
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance procedures
• Ensure safety standards comply with all guidelines
• Monitor and maintain grounds and building systems
• Operate equipment and obtain certification as required
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
