Job summary

Core-Mark International is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain warehouse equipment and ensure safety and efficiency. You will perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and troubleshoot trailers, dock ramps, and doors while collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires 6+ months in maintenance, passes pre-employment drug and background checks, and follows safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair Trailers, Restraint Devices, Dock leveling ramps, Dock Doors.
• Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints, repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary.
• Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiencies.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Investigates electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
• Using the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) -Initiates purchase order for parts and machines and creates and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.
• Weld- perform sheet metal work and employ basic shop floor skills (lathe- drill press grinder- and other metalworking tools).I
• Install- move- and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental policies- procedures and compliance programs.
• Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
