Job summary

Clark Mechanical Services, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of warehouse facilities and material handling equipment including conveyors, forklifts, and racking.

You will coordinate repairs with external vendors, track maintenance costs, and support operational improvements while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and communicating equipment status to management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair of warehouse equipment such as conveyor belts and forklifts, and maintenance of racking, dock doors and levelers.
• Communicate with outside vendors regarding warranty issues or repairs beyond technician certification level.
• Ensure all equipment batteries are watered and maintained per manufacturer schedules.
• Support maintenance projects, operational improvements, and preventative maintenance on assets and equipment.
• Promote efficiency of the warehouse yard and disposal of pallets/skids.
• Operate equipment including forklifts and floor scrubbers.
• Report forklift issues promptly to leadership to maximize uptime and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment following safety protocols (LOTO, PPE).
• Maintain a log of preventative and corrective maintenance using internal systems.
• Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, or replacement of key components and equipment.
• Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Maintain organization and safety by following policies and reporting hazards to leadership.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly department goals.
• Flex into other positions and duties to support operations.
