Job summary

Specialized Packaging Solutions Inc in Austin, TX seeks a Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities.

You will lead a team, enforce safety standards, coordinate with carriers, and drive efficiency and accuracy through WMS/ERP systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in warehouse or logistics with supervisory experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Forklift certification is preferred or the ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders and shipments.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Schedule labor and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of products to minimize damage and loss.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and warehouse operational planning.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse activities, inventory status, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Position Summary

The Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities.
