  • Support leadership in monitoring productivity and performance metrics.
  • Perform inventory counts and ensure proper labeling and storage; report discrepancies.
  • Ensure shipments are prepared accurately and in line with company standards.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse environment.
  • Communicate issues or improvements to leadership.
  • Assist in onboarding new warehouse staff and provide peer training.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring productivity, safety, and accuracy in inventory handling. This role serves as the first line of leadership on the warehouse floor, supporting the Regional VP of Operations and Inventory Specialist in overseeing staff performance, training, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Monitor workflow and assign tasks to warehouse staff to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to Warehouse Workers; ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Support Regional VP and Inventory Specialist in monitoring productivity and performance metrics.
  • Perform inventory counts, ensure proper labeling and storage of goods, and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure shipments are prepared accurately and in compliance with company standards.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse environment.
  • Communicate issues, delays, or process improvements to Regional VP and Inventory Specialist.
  • Assist in onboarding new warehouse employees and provide peer-level training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction to Warehouse Workers in daily operations.
  • Acts as a working lead by balancing hands-on tasks with oversight responsibilities.
  • Supports Regional VP and Inventory Specialist in performance coaching and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or coursework in logistics or supply chain preferred.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
