Responsibilities

• Receive material and maintain related records in the system.
• Assist with loading/unloading, inventory counts, and cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and comply with safety regulations.

Position Type: Full Time

General Summary: Assists Management with daily activity goals and objectives by providing direct leadership to the warehouse and/or delivery teams. Performs a variety of general duties within assigned warehouse department. Specific duties may vary slightly between locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs all requirements of assigned department(s) (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc); may provide assistance throughout the warehouse.
• Coordinates warehouse staffing needs with Management.
• Assists with departmental cross training and in professional development of team members.
• Prepares reports and completes documentation for Management.
• As the work flow requires:
  • Ensures verification takes place on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
  • Receives material from vendors into the business system and maintains related records.
  • Assists with unloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
  • Assists with inventory management including cycle counts as required.
• Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches from various heights on a regular basis.
• Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart & conveyor).
• Assist in creating, implementing and revising procedures and work instructions.
• Supports the implementation and processes of TWL (if applicable) and the quality program.
• Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, organizing, prioritizing and completing of tasks.
• Basic PC skills with MS Office products required.
• Operate computer terminal and other computer related equipment relevant to job duties.
• High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company mission statement.

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager, Operations Manager
