Job summary

DILE Solutions LLC in Savannah, GA seeks a Warehouse Lead to assist the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor with inbound and outbound shipments. You will work on the floor with teams to ensure SOPs are followed, focusing on timely picking and shipping.

Lead a small team, train new associates on safety and proper freight handling, and ensure accurate use of the WMS. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and proactive, organized work habits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse operations and leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Warehouse Manager and Supervisor with inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Lead 2-4 direct reports in the Savannah warehouse.
  • On-floor oversight to ensure SOPs are followed and operations complete timely.
  • Train new associates in safety procedures and standard handling of freight.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with management and temp agencies.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain workplace safety.
  • Ensure WMS-based receiving and storage are accurate and timely.

Description

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor with managing all incoming and outgoing shipments for the company. This position requires being knowledgeable in all departments within the warehouse. Additionally, this position requires cross-functional collaboration to ensure proper receiving and delivery of all products.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Team of 2-4 direct reports in the Savannah warehouse.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Consistently working on the floor with the teams to ensure all operations are completed properly, and the customer SOPs are followed.
  • Major daily focus on picking and shipping due to volume to ensure that all shipments are completed timely.
  • Train all new warehouse associates in safety procedures, customer SOPs and safe handling of the freight.
  • Communicate temporary staffing agency needs to warehouse management as needed.
  • Enforce company policies and standards with associates.
  • Maintain associate’s workplace safety and health regulations.
  • Ensure products are stored in an organized manner upon receiving utilizing the WMS system.
  • Ensure accessibility to all products being stored in the warehouse in the correct put-away locations, scanned into the WMS.
  • Ensure products are stored in appropriate sections upon receiving.
  • Ensure products are being received and scanned correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure teams follow all company workflows and systems set up to keep to goals.
  • Leads by example exhibiting the mission of the company.
  • Encourages teamwork and promotes a positive working environment.
  • Proactive, well organized with the ability to work under own initiative and be flexible.
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure proper protocols are followed for shipping and receiving staff to ensure the product is not damaged.
  • Address logistical issues and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate with the order processing team for any issues that will delay shipments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors or associate’s degree in operations management or related field is ideal but not required
  • Warehouse experience: 2-3 years
  • Ecommerce/Fulfilment: 1-2 years
  • 3PL Warehousing: 1-2 years
  • Microsoft Word/Excel: proficient
  • Forklift Certification
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Working in extreme temperatures.
