Job summary

MEI is seeking a Warehouse Lead Administrator in Chantilly, VA to lead daily warehouse activities and provide training to the team. You will back up the Warehouse Supervisor, manage inventory, and generate administrative records to support smooth operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environments, with strong Microsoft Office skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous administrative, shipping / receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic data entry functions.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day training, coaching, and guidance to warehouse team members to support productivity, quality, and adherence to established processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during supervisor absences, assisting with issue resolution, workflow coordination, and escalation of operational concerns as needed.
• Support warehouse leadership with special projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, and service performance.
• Maintain warehouse documentation and records, including receipts, packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, delivery notes, and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Process and verify shipping and receiving transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of all records.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate information within warehouse management systems, inventory databases, and related tracking tools.
• Manage inventory data and support inventory accuracy by updating stock records, tracking inventory movements, and investigating discrepancies.
