Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse staff, supervise daily tasks, and provide backup to the supervisor. The role involves operating powered industrial equipment, conducting safety and performance observations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across shipping, inventory, and procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in warehouse operations with at least 6 months in a supervisory capacity and a forklift license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct observations of safety, performance, and maintenance.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution and load/unload materials.
• Complete shipping/tracking paperwork per SOPs and regulatory requirements (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks and ensure readiness for audits (SQFI, FDA, customers).
• Communicate incidents to supervisor and ensure proper follow-up.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed and production reports reviewed.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
