Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Supervisor, Supply Chain in St. Louis, MO to lead day-to-day warehouse execution, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time material flow.

You will supervise a team across 1st and 2nd shifts, coordinating Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Picking, and Staging based on site priorities. You will drive shift coverage, coach staff, and ensure effective handoffs while adhering to cGMP practices and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and material handling/storage expectations.
• Working knowledge of SAP and/or warehouse management systems; ability to execute transactions accurately.
• Forklift experience preferred; ability to become certified on required equipment.
• Strong communication and shift-to-shift coordination skills; ability to lead through change.
• Lean/5S experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities across Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Picking, and Staging; flex between areas as needed to meet site priorities.
• Provide leadership coverage across various shifts; manage shift handoffs, communicate priorities, and ensure consistent execution across shifts.
• Direct and prioritize work for warehouse staff; coach performance and support training/qualification requirements.
• Ensure compliant receiving: coordinate dock activities, verify documentation, process receipts, label, segregate, and store materials.
• Oversee inventory control including cycle counts and variances; drive corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Lead picking/kitting and staging to support production schedules with FEFO/FIFO adherence.
• Manage outbound shipping execution (packing, staging, documentation, carrier coordination) with cGMP and safety.
• Perform SAP/WMS transactions for receipts, transfers, movements, and shipments; troubleshoot system issues.
• Maintain cGMP and GMP practices; handle temperature-sensitive materials per procedure.
• Own warehouse documentation and standard work; develop SOPs and ensure training is current.
• Coordinate material handling equipment readiness; liaise with Facilities for maintenance.
• Partner with Quality, EH&S, Planning, and Procurement to resolve material issues and drive improvements.
• Support hazardous waste handling in partnership with EH&S; ensure proper documentation.
