Job summary

South-Town Refrigeration and Mechanical is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Minnesota to support the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day operations. You will oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, and shipping while coaching the team to work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include assigning tasks, training staff, maintaining accuracy, and resolving shipment issues. A strong safety mindset and 5S practices are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience driving a 23' or longer box truck or flatbed truck.
• Warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or inventory experience required.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment or obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills and use of warehouse systems and scanners.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Train new and existing team members on procedures and safety practices.
• Communicate priorities and operational updates to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and promote 5S practices.
• Ensure orders are processed on schedule and resolve issues as needed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and related equipment safely.
• Identify opportunities to improve space utilization and workflow.
• Perform warehouse associate duties during workload fluctuations.
