Job summary

Staffmark Group in Houston, TX is hiring a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, coordinate staff, and ensure products move safely and accurately through the supply chain.

This role requires 2–5 years warehouse experience, leadership duties, forklift experience, and proficiency with MS Office and WMS. Pay is $21.00 per hour with 1st and 2nd shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership/ supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and WMS systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities and associate workflow.
  • Assign tasks based on staffing levels and operational priorities.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy throughout the warehouse.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate goals and operational updates.
  • Train, coach, and mentor warehouse team members.
  • Support receiving, shipping, picking, packing, replenishment, and inventory functions.
  • Perform inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and operational issues; ensure accurate documentation of inventory and shipment transactions.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workplace using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes and customer service.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

  • Ability to safely work in active warehouse environments with forklifts, conveyors, and material handling equipment.

  • Ability to inspect warehouse operations and respond to operational needs throughout the facility.
