Job summary

Pures Food Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations across multiple Bakehouses in the Chicago area. You will supervise forklift staff, manage inventory, and enforce safety protocols while coordinating with production and other departments.

Candidates with forklift certification and strong safety awareness are encouraged to apply. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. The role requires flexibility to cover 1st-3rd shifts as needed.

• Experience operating forklifts and maintaining safety standards in a warehouse.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team and coordinate with other departments.
• Ability to follow food safety policies and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of forklift operators in the warehouse
• Assign daily duties to operators
• Unload and load material
• Verify quantities for inbound and outbound loads
• Create labels, pack lists, and BOLs for shipments
• Create pallet tags for material receipts
• Transport raw & finished materials to production workstations and warehouse
• Inspect machinery and report issues
• Determine the need for repairs
• Keep updated records of inventory
• Produce activity logs – verify operators submit proper forms
• Pick and select orders for warehouse transfers
• Comply with company policies and guidelines
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment and food safety compliance

Job description

A Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring safety compliance. They supervise warehouse staff, manage inventory, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with other departments. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The Warehouse Floater must be flexible and available to support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts across multiple facilities based on business needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of forklift operators in the warehouse
• Assign daily duties to operators
• Unload and load material
• Verify quantities for both inbound and outbound loads
• Create Labels, Pack lists, and BOLs for shipments
• Create pallets tags for material receipts
• Transport raw & finished materials to production workstations and warehouse
