Job summary

NorthPoint Development is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency. You will supervise staff and support receiving, picking, staging, inventory, loading, and other day-to-day tasks.

The role requires forklift experience, reliable teamwork, and strong communication. Weekend or varied shifts may be required to keep the facility operational 24/7, with a focus on meeting KPIs and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Must have warehousing experience.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent dependability and attendance.
  • Basic math and computer skills are required.
  • Willing to work weekends or alternate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and lead daily warehouse operations including vendor receiving, computer system operation, tagging, picking, staging and inventory of all products.
  • Organize and secure materials such as boxes, pallets, etc.
  • Load and unload product with forklift onto pallets, platforms, skids, trucks or lifting devices.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Examine and verify types of goods and abide by compliance standards.
  • Read and verify tickets to determine accuracy of inbound and outbound orders.
  • Compare records, read manifests, invoices and orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Train and coach other warehouse employees to ensure a collaborative, safe and fun working environment.
  • Work with teams to adhere and improve upon key performance metrics and engineered labor standards.

Job description

The Warehouse Lead supports and leads daily warehouse operations to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role assists with supervising warehouse employees and supports receiving, picking, staging, inventory, loading and unloading, and other day-to-day warehouse functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product with forklift onto pallets, platforms, skids, trucks or lifting devices.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Compare records, read manifests, invoices and orders to ensure accuracy.

  • Must have basic math and computer skills.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting. Also, frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor.
  • Willing to take on other duties as needed.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, squat, reach, and move throughout warehouse, loading dock, and storage areas.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in warehouse and dock environments, including chilled/refrigerated and ambient temperature areas as required.
  • Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other authorized warehouse equipment in accordance with training and company requirements.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including high-visibility apparel, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
  • May be required to work weekends, holidays, overtime, or alternate shifts based on business needs.
