Job summary

Pure’s Food Specialties, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Lead (Floater) to supervise forklift operators across Chicago-area Bakehouses, manage daily inventory, and uphold safety standards. This role requires flexibility to cover 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and travel between facilities.

Candidates should be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess forklift certification, and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Identify damages and report shortages or quality issues.
• Maintain inventory records and safety compliance across shifts.
• Comply with company policies and food safety guidelines.

A Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring safety compliance. They supervise warehouse staff, manage inventory, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with other departments. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The Warehouse Floater must be flexible and available to support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts across multiple facilities based on business needs.

Role And Responsibilities

• Lead a team of forklift operators in the warehouse
• Assign daily duties to operators
• Unload and load material
• Check-in both inbound & outbound drivers
• Verify quantities for both inbound and outbound loads
• Create Labels, Pack lists, and BOLs for shipments
• Create pallets tags for material receipts
• Identify damages - Report shortages - Report quality deficiencies
• Transport raw & finished materials to production workstations and warehouse
• Inspect machinery and report any issues
• Determine the need for repairs
• Keep updated records of inventory
• Produce activity logs – Verify operators submitting proper forms
• Pick and select orders for warehouse transfers
• Comply with company policies and guidelines
• Assist in keeping a safe environment Requirements

Requirements

Work Environment & Physical demands

• This position works in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more.

Travel Required

• This position requires traveling to multiple Bakehouses manufacturing facilities in the Chicago suburbs area, no overnight stay required.
