Job summary

Legacy Bakehouse in Waukesha, WI is looking for a dependable Warehouse Lead who will be on the floor with the team, directing workflow, operating forklifts, verifying shipments, and ensuring safe, efficient operations daily.

You will report to the Plant Manager and act as the on-floor contact when the Warehouse Manager is off-site; bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred and experience with FIFO/FEFO, GMP, and OSHA standards is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or production experience.
• Forklift certification preferred/required.
• Food manufacturing, food distribution, or regulated CPG environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO rotation, receiving, and cycle counting.
• Able to read and follow written work instructions in English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily workflow of warehouse associates: receiving, putaway, order picking, and outbound shipping.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders, BOLs, and packing slips.
• Ensure correct product storage following FEFO rotation, allergen/organic segregation, and labeling standards.
• Support inventory and cycle counts; communicate variances to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse floor in compliance with GMP and OSHA standards.
• Coach and guide associates on procedures, safety, and quality expectations.
• Communicate across shifts for smooth handoffs; document receiving logs and shipping records.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and food safety concerns to management immediately.

Legacy Bakehouse is looking for a dependable, hands‑on Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations at our Waukesha facility. This is a working lead position - you will be on the floor alongside your team every day, directing workflow, operating forklifts, verifying shipments, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently. You'll report to the Plant Manager and serve as the on-floor point of contact when the Warehouse Manager is not on-site. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; team lift required over 50 lbs.


• Stand and walk for the majority of an 8-10 hour shift on concrete floors


• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting; operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts


• Warehouse environment (approximately 45-90F); PPE required (safety shoes, hair net, hearing protection)
