Position Summary

Assist supervisor and oversee warehouse workers. Load and/or unload trucks. Receive, check, store, count, and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures, and methods.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in managing warehouse and location operational responsibilities.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state, and federal requirements.
• Lead the warehouse team and assign job tasks according to shipping schedules.
• Work as a team member to meet warehouse goals, complete necessary paperwork accurately, and manage inventory levels.
• Maintain forklift certification and ensure safety inspections are performed before each shift.
• Schedule work for special projects and periodic inventories.
• Trace item histories to resolve discrepancies and recommend remedial actions to management.
• Train, support, and guide warehouse workers.
• Oversee receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts, quality, and completing all related paperwork.
• Conduct daily team meetings to communicate safety topics and updates.
• Stack and arrange products on pallets, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Work in cold environments, with temperatures averaging 32°F to -25°F.
• Support production and other related duties as assigned.

Employee Safety Responsibilities

• Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, acts, and horseplay.
• Use proper lifting techniques and PPE, including seat belts on forklifts.
• Utilize personal assistance when needed.
