American Furniture Rental (AFR) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for our Orlando, FL location.

General Description

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise at AFR’s warehouse. The role is for 1st shift with occasional overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Unload and load trucks using an RF scanning device, compare paperwork to NAV inventory system, check NAV to ensure all inventory has been scanned correctly, and post all collections and deliveries.
  2. Confirm all paperwork and pickups via Logistics Dashboard.
  3. Touch up and reclassify merchandise, inspect for damages, record discrepancies, and prepare inventory for warehouse stock.
  4. Stage merchandise for shipment, fill customer orders, scan all orders, and print pre-shipment paperwork.
  5. Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks following safety guidelines.
  6. Maintain a neat workplace, sweep debris, follow safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Good communication skills (oral, written, reading).
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • No experience required; prior warehouse experience is a plus.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Forklift license, certified by AFR.
Physical and Mental Qualifications
  • Ability to stand and walk 90% of the time.
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, and perform physical activities.
  • Rational thinking and numerical skills required.
