American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking for a Warehouse Specialist at our Orlando, FL location.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse Specialist handles all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise. The position is on the 1st shift, with occasional overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload/load trucks using RF scanners, verify paperwork, and update inventory systems.
• Confirm pickups and deliveries via Logistics Dashboard.
• Handle merchandise with care, inspecting for damage, and recording discrepancies.
• Prepare inventory and stage merchandise for shipment.
• Fulfill customer orders and operate warehouse equipment following safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, report hazards, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (oral, written, reading).
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• No experience required; prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Certifications

• Forklift license, certified by AFR.

Physical and Mental Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk most of the time.
• Lift/move objects up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks.
