Job description

Overview

Capricor Therapeutics is searching for a Warehouse Lead to manage inventory, shipments, and staff within our manufacturing and logistics operations.

Shift Schedule

Operations run 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Two shift windows: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM. Schedules: Sat–Wed, Tue–Sat, Thu–Mon, and Fri–Tue. Overtime of 1–2 hours may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties of Warehouse Lead.
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
  • Receive all GMP items on an electronic inventory system—verify count, vendor info, number, and expiration date against specifications and purchase order before printing bar code labels.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff, providing training and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all products are stored and handled according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff, enforcing safety procedures.
  • Perform physical inventory management to support continuous production of drug products.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
  • Assist in writing and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Support completion of deviations and investigations regarding non-conforming products.
  • Work with electronic and paper-based inventory systems to manage receipt, release, packaging, and shipment of GMP materials.
  • Perform disposition of expired materials and maintain applicable documentation.
  • Monitor temperature conditions of refrigerators, freezers, and room temperature storage of cGMP materials, responding to alarms on call as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain partnerships within job function and with assembly, materials, and logistics across manufacturing operations and shifts.
  • Fill material requests and deliveries to manufacturing as required.
  • Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule.
  • Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Source and maintain necessary quality documents for the release of critical material.
  • Maintain a library of material specs, forms, and other material documents.
  • Support other duties as assigned to support Supply Chain.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related experience in a GMP regulated warehouse or materials management.
  • 2+ years of experience with Inventory Management Systems/ERP in a biotech or life sciences environment.
  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or lead roles, and inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Associate’s degree (preferred).
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Able to adjust to workload in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision of day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Flexible schedule and able to support all operational requirements.
