Job summary

Irby Utilities is a leading provider of utility distribution solutions. The Warehouse Lead will support our valued customers by ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, and prepared for shipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will direct day-to-day warehouse activities—receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control—while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes teamwork and dependable execution.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and perform a variety of warehousing duties such as loading, checking, order picking, and shipping.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of outbound shipments.
  • Ensure that all customer orders and branch transfers are filled, packaged, loaded and delivered correctly and on time.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and housekeeping. Lead the team concerning best practices, and proper procedures and ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Assist and direct efficiency inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
  • Assist in the training and development of Warehouse associates. May monitor attendance, hours worked and job performance.
  • Be courteous in all contact with company customers.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead will supply our valued customers with the necessary items they need to grow their business every day. Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of PEAK I & II if applicable.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other materials handling equipment
  • Experience in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas
