Job summary

Sonepar USA is seeking a Material Handler in Mentor, OH to support loading, unloading, and moving materials with a focus on accuracy and safety. You’ll handle orders using RF devices and operate forklifts and related equipment to ensure timely fulfillment.

The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work full-time in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with opportunities for benefits and development through the PEAK program.

Material Handler Job Summary:

• Working independently to load, unload, and move materials within or near work site
• Utilizing RF devices to fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests
• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies
• Packing and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Championing effective inventory management practices
• Adhering to and promoting safety and security policies and procedures
• Demonstrating exceptional reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English to perform the essential functions of the position, follow safety procedures, understand work-related instructions, and complete required documentation
• Ability to reach, bend, and lift/push packages thatweigh up to 50lbs.
