Irby Utilities is seeking a CDL Driver/Material Handler in Albuquerque, NM to transport products locally and support warehouse operations. You will deliver to customers and branches, inspect vehicles, and ensure safety and compliance.

This role offers competitive pay and benefits with home nights and weekends. Ideal candidates have a CDL with DOT Medical Card, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work nights/weekends for storm responses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise locally to customers, branches, or final destinations with courtesy
• Communicate across teams to achieve results
• Inspect and maintain assigned vehicle before/after trips
• Maintain safe driving record and comply with regulations
• Follow DOT/FHWA rules for interstate driving and log requirements
• Assemble, load, unload, and move materials at the site
• Package merchandise for shipment
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment

About The Role

Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver/Material Handler! You’ll play a crucial role in transporting and delivering products or materials locally. When you’re not on the road, you’ll be an essential part of our warehouse operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver with Pride: Transport merchandise locally to customers, branch locations, or final destinations, always projecting courtesy and a positive company image.
• Team Player: Communicate effectively across multiple teams and individual associates to achieve successful results and completion of tasks.
• Vehicle Care: Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips, maintain general care and upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
• Safety First: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintain a good driving record, and hold a proper commercial driver’s license.
• Compliance: Follow Federal Highway Administration Rules and Regulations for Interstate drivers, maintain driver logs according to D.O.T. regulations.
• Material Handling: Accurately assemble, load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site to designated areas as per Sales Tickets, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Packaging: Package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
• Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.

Minimum Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and Clearinghouse consent
• Ability to actively listen, convey ideas and information, and engage in cross-team collaboration
• Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English to perform the essential functions of the position, follow safety procedures, understand work-related instructions, and complete required documentation
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work nights and weekends to assist with storm response efforts as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to five years of documented related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
