Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of warehouse experience.
• Prior leadership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills and ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to train new employees.

Responsibilities

• Daily leadership of the Warehouse team.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Move inventory by scheduling transfers between departments.
• Assign duties, monitor work quality, and ensure policy conformance.
• Troubleshoot shop floor issues and keep projects moving.
• Ensure inventory and supplies are secure.
• Train new employees for required duties.
• Promote a clean, organized warehouse space.
• Operate forklift to move finished products when trained.
• Ensure equipment safety and proper use of safety devices.

Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading the Warehouse team, ensuring activities assigned material handling, shipping and receiving are completed in a timely and quality manner.

Shift: 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Daily leader of Warehouse team.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
• Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
• Assign duties, follow up, and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise on the shop floor and confer with supervisors and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving for the best outcome.
• Assure inventory and supplies are secure.
• Train new employees for the required job duties.
• Promote a clean and well-organized warehouse space.
• Responsible for identifying and moving all finished products to the proper location within the shop operating a forklift, if trained.
• Ensures all equipment is properly set up and used safely and that all safety devices are in use.

Qualifications

• Prior Leadership experience preferred.
• 2-3 years warehouse experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing operating systems and practices.
• Knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
• Self-awareness and emotional intelligence to effectively lead and influence others.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance in various positions and motions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets.
