Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead at Pope Army Airfield/Fort Bragg, NC to oversee high-value property, inventory control, and secure shipping operations.

You will coordinate shipments with the Base Transportation Management Office, enforce DTR/Hazmat safety, train staff, and help ensure timely delivery to client sites.

Qualifications

• Active, in-scope US Government Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel worldwide, including remote or austere locations.
• Minimum of five years of field logistics experience.
• Understanding of DoW/USTRANSCOM transportation regulations.
• Able to manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Track, audit, and account for high-value property in government property system.
• Maintain an accurate warehouse inventory and accountability in the government system.
• Ensure outgoing shipments adhere to Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) guidelines.
• Coordinate outbound/inbound shipments with Base Transportation Management Office (TMO).
• Direct operational flow, facility safety, HAZMAT compliance, and secure shipping/receiving for a federal site.
• Manage program equipment accounts to ensure timely processing of DIFM assets.
• Maintain driver license to support government furnished vehicle.
• Recruit and train warehouse personnel.
• Ensure materials are delivered to sites per client criteria.
• Assess and select optimal shipping methods, routing, or carriers to meet specs and costs.
• Negotiate carrier rates.
• Maintain customer service logs and safety records.
• Maintain a safe work area.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of IT equipment.

Job Overview

Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Job Responsibilities

• Tracks, audits, and accounts for high-value property within government property system.
• Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse materials and managed within government accountability system.
• Ensure all outgoing shipments strictly adhere to Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) guidelines.
• Coordinate with Base Transportation Management Office (TMO) for both outbound and inbound shipments.
• Directs the operational flow, facility safety, HAZMAT compliance, and secure shipping/receiving for a designated federal site.
• Manage program equipment accounts to ensure timely processing of Due-In-From-Maintenance (DIFM) assets.
• Able to maintain driver license in support of government furnished vehicle.
• Recruit and train warehouse personnel.
• Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients’ criteria
• Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs.
• Negotiate rates with carriers.
• Maintain customer service logs and safety records.
• Maintain a safe work area.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of IT equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel worldwide, including to remote or austere locations.
• Minimum of (5) five years of field logistics experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of DoW/ USTRANSCOM transportation regulations.
• Able to manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software.

Desired Qualification

• Experience supporting SOCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM, TRANSCOM, Space Force, or other Combatant Command environments.
• Experience supporting OCONUS operations and remote-site sustainment activities.
• Prior military service or experience supporting DOD customers.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree paired with 5+ years of DoD logistics experience OR a minimum of 10 years experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
