Job summary

Trinity Products in Houston, TX, is hiring a Warehouse Laborer on the 2nd shift to support steel plate production and to also operate overhead cranes. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm, and based at our Houston facility.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, with strong mechanical aptitude and experience with cranes and hand tools. Safety and teamwork are essential to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools and machinery.
• Experience with cutting torches, plasma cutters, and related tools.
• Ability to use a tape measure and operate cranes.

• Stage, load, and unload steel plate materials to keep operations flowing.
• Assist with assembly and light fabrication; operate cutting tools.
• Perform visual inspections when receiving materials.

• Follow verbal or written instructions to maneuver loads safely.
• Conduct daily inspections of cranes and lifting devices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist teammates as needed.

We're looking for a motivated and safety-driven Warehouse Laborer who will also serve as an Overhead Crane Operator to join our Houston team. This position plays a vital role in the production of high-quality steel plate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stage, load, and unload steel plate materials to keep operations flowing smoothly.
• Support general assembly and light fabrication tasks including cutting, troubleshooting and working with machinery (use of a cutting torch, track torch, and circular saw).
• Perform visual inspectionswhen receiving new materials into the warehouse.
• Operate 15/20/30-ton overhead bridge cranes (single/dual hoists) to move, lift, and precisely position heavy loads like steel plate, pipe and coil.
• Use a variety of hoisting attachments: hooks, slings, electromagnets,depending on the job.
• Respond to verbal, written, or signal instructions to maneuver loads safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily inspections of cranes and lifting devices (chains, hooks, slings, wire rope, etc.) to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area - housekeeping matters!
• Take on additional tasks to assist team members and management as needed - no two days are the same!

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or a strong combination of work experience and practical skills.
• 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting is preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Comfortable using cutting torches, plasma cutters and various hand tools.
• Ability to use a tape measure effectively.
• Experience operating overhead or stationary cranes, preferably 30-ton capacity.
• Familiarity with mobile or heavy equipment such as forklifts, a plus!
• Ability to operate and maintain hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.
• Good oral and written communication skills - you're a clear communicator and strong team player.
• Strong team-oriented mindset, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to adapt and pitch in wherever needed - no job is too big or small
