Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking an IT Software Analyst to manage IT assets and optimize warehouse software systems on-site in Virginia. You will work with warehouse staff, IT teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and maintain records of IT assets.

The role covers WMS administration, software optimization, system integration, user training, and compliance with cybersecurity policies. A secret clearance and experience in warehouse environments are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 2+ years in IT support, software analysis, or asset management, preferably in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Proficiency with IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, or similar).
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL) and basic scripting for automation.
• Understanding of network infrastructure, hardware troubleshooting, and software deployment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work with technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have secret clearance.
• Preferred: ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, or similar certifications.

Responsibilities

• IT Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses; track lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
• Software Support & Optimization: Administer and support WMS, inventory control software, and other tools; troubleshoot issues with vendors.
• System Integration: Collaborate with IT and warehouse teams to integrate new software with existing systems.
• User Support & Training: Provide technical support and training; create user guides and SOPs.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure IT systems comply with cybersecurity policies and monitor access controls.
• Reporting & Analytics: Generate reports on IT asset utilization and system uptime; analyze data to identify improvements.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors for licensing and support; align IT solutions with operations.
