Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Computer Repair and Configuration Technician in Plainfield, Indiana. The role focuses on configuring and repairing PCs, peripherals, and related systems within warehouse environments to ensure peak production and optimal performance.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, configure networks, and train junior technicians while adhering to ISO and safety standards. The position includes competitive benefits and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more expert experience with PCs and peripherals hardware and assembly.
• Two (2) years or more experience in desk-side support of all Microsoft Windows environments.
• A+ Certification preferred; MCSA and Net+ Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure computer systems (hardware and software) and other related equipment for external customers.
• Diagnose and repair PC related systems within the warehouse environment using technical skills, hardware and software knowledge and troubleshooting techniques to maintain the expected system performance and production levels.
• Assess and repair PCs and peripherals requiring service to return them to full functionality.
• Configure PCs hardware and software to required specifications. Establish all connection points between PCs and network, troubleshooting applications and related problems.
• Provide system solutions to operating requirements using personal analytical skills and knowledge to facilitate production processes and enhance productivity.
• Train lower level tier technicians to improve their job responsibility regarding system applications using training aids and operating procedures.
• Ensure PCs have licenses for applicable software.
