Job summary

Johnson Controls Integrated Security seeks a Material Handler to manage warehouse inventory, order supplies, receive and stock items, and prepare shipments for the Sales & Service Office (SSO). The role uses Oracle and Perpetual Inventory to maintain accurate records and comply with SOX guidelines.

You will process orders, ensure safe warehouse operations, and support installation and service teams by stocking and distributing materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including Excel.
• Knowledge of perpetual inventory management system (Oracle).
• Attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Completes online orders for hardware and miscellaneous items for the SSO; processes purchase orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Ensures the SSO warehouse is safe, organized and secure; takes corrective action to regain compliance.
• Uses Perpetual Inventory to document transactions and reconcile physical vs. book inventory; investigates discrepancies.
• Pulls and issues hardware for installation and service jobs as required.
• Replenishes truck stock for each fleet vehicle and moves material from shipping/distribution trucks into the warehouse.
• Opens shipments; verifies parts ordered, unpacks, and reconciles items; forwards receipts to Accounts.
• Identifies shelf locators for Perpetual Inventory and stocks shelves per guidelines.
• Delivers incoming material to proper destination and documents in sub-inventory.
• Maintains product knowledge and answers questions related to work orders and equipment needed.
• Examines equipment from cancelled accounts to decide repair/replace/disposition under SOX guidelines.
• Maintains control logs and copies of invoices per regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
