Job summary

North Slope Borough is seeking a warehouse operator to perform a variety of industrial duties, including inventory control, data entry, and material distribution. The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs and use of a loader or forklift, with the ability to follow federal testing regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in a warehouse, and a valid Alaska CDL with HazMat endorsement; 49 CFR HazMat Training is also required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED or equivalent education.
• One year of work experience in a warehouse.
• Valid Alaska Commercial Drivers License (with Haz-mat endorsement) that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria;
• 49 CFR Hazardous Material Transportation Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform activities in issuing, transporting and storing of warehouse inventory and materials.
• Monitor, maintain and order warehouse inventory for inventory control.
• Compile and maintain accurate distribution records and/or logs.
• Maintain accurate records of material in relation to job number or work order number for billing purposes.
• Perform office duties to include: telephone and radio communications; conduct surplus sales; data entry in to Micros/Midrange systems.
• Operate loader and/or forklift. May lift heavy objects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
