Job summary

DIRECTV in Newark, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to receive, stock, pull, distribute, ship and track materials and tools. You will support multiple programs and maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle if required by assignment.
• Successful results from a security investigation when required.
• Ability to work varied hours including days, evenings, nights, overtime and weekends.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform related tasks.
• PAE or other safety evaluations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type or code.
• Pull and distribute materials to fulfill technician requests.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment as required.
• Move and lift materials up to 75 pounds.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in a computerized system.
• Complete requisition forms to order more equipment or supplies.
• Sort waste such as trash, recycling, cardboard and electronics.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Drive a company vehicle and load trucks with stock as needed.
• Receive returned goods and decide on disposition.
• Sort packages and supplies for processing.
• Operate power-driven material handling equipment.
• Handle clerical duties and maintain records.
